The SEED project is motivated by the urgent need to solve the environmental challenges facing our world and the essential role schools and educators play in fostering sustainability and digital literacy.
It is more vital than ever to educate young people about concerns like as climate change, biodiversity loss, and resource depletion, and to encourage them to take action to conserve the earth and its resources for future generations.
By the production of sustainable events, the use of digital technologies, and the provision of training and support for teachers and school leaders, the SEED initiative intends to promote sustainable development and digital literacy in schools.
The initiative attempts to accomplish the following goals:
To create and implement sustainable school event management methods, including food sustainability for events such as catering.
To encourage sustainable lifestyles and actions among students, faculty, and staff.
To give teachers and school administrators with training and assistance on the creation of sustainable events, including food sustainability and digital resources.
To promote collaborations and networks between schools and other interested parties.
To accomplish these goals, the SEED project will create a Toolkit for Sustainable Events, which will provide teachers, school leaders, and other teaching professions with the necessary tools and resources to plan and manage sustainable events, including guidance on food sustainability and the use of digital tools. The Toolkit will be built on best practises and will incorporate the knowledge of sustainability and digital literacy leaders.
